We've been working a lot with Ruben to prepare him to obtain the Melchizedek priesthood by next Stake Conference, which is a lot of fun. I've been able to see him grow so much in the gospelhe's a very sincere man and really tries his hardest to implement the teachings of the gospel. He's a man with a lot of disappearing problems thanks to the strength of his testimony. A true golden investigator turned convert!

Had a fantastic district meeting. I feel bad for my companionhe's still in the stage of his Spanish learning where, even though he can explain to you gospel principles and teach you all that important stuff, he really can't understand what's going on, so I'm helping him to stay awake. We learned a lot about how to successfully put together a baptism, which is handy since we have a bunch planned for the 11th. A lot of things can go wrong, so it was nice to get some renewed training.
We we're able to finally meet up again with our amazing investigator Solange, who's fire has been going out a bit, since we went about a week without being able to meet with her, which left room (unfortunately) for her to come across some anti-Mormon lies on the internet that we had to clear up. We didn't answer the doubts directly, rather we just explained to her that if she stretches her faith EVERY DAY by reading the Book of Mormon and asking our Heavenly Father in sincere prayer for understanding and guidance, she'll be able to receive an answer and she'll be able to discern the truth from the falsities. Frustrating, though. We also met for the first time with Alejandro, a brand new investigator who we've wanted to teach for a while, and we extended him the invitation to be baptized on the 11th of October, which he accepted. He's, to our delight, a good friend of Camila, a very recent and very active convert. We we're able to teach him the message of the Restoration and I was amazed at my companion's ability to explain to him those concepts. My companion is an absolute champion. I learn so much from him.

Today was a day full of failed appointments. And a lot of walking. And a delicious lunch. And more walking.

We've been working a lot with Marcelo and Leticia who are what we call eternal investigators, but I have hope that they'll soon become "converts that used to be eternal invs". It's just tough because as much as we invite the spirit into our lessons with them, it rarely changes into action. Which is where real faith is. That's what's impeding them from being baptized. They've gotta act according to their faith. They have helped me understand that concept, so our visits have yielded fruits. At least in my life!
We we're also privileged to have interviews with President Thurgood this week. It's great to have a mission president, and I realized how much I'm going to miss having a mission president, mission rules, and all the other things that make the mission hard and worth it. I felt good in this interview knowing that I could look him in the eye and tell him that I'm being as close as I can to 100% obedient and that my testimony of the restored gospel is stronger than ever.
